As we say goodbye to Hannah Hoff and thank her for all she has done as principal of Bordeaux elementary, the Shelton School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Kyle O’Neil as the new principal. Mr. O’Neil comes to us with many years of experience, the last 4 years being at Ridgeline Middle School in the Yelm School District, as their Assistant Principal and Athletic Director.
Having over 20 years’ experience in education, Mr. O’Neil is well prepared to take on a new leadership here in the district. Before being an Assistant principal he was a Dean of Students for 1 year at four elementary schools in the Yelm School District. Previous to his administrative career he spent 18 years teaching 3 and 4th grade, both in the Olympia School District and Yelm School District. His educational studies include a Bachelors of Arts in Education from Washington State University as well as a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Washington.
As the Superintendent, It is my privilege, along with the School Board, to welcome Kyle O’Neil to the Shelton School District Family. I am confident that the students, parents and staff will appreciate his warm heart and years of experience.
